Privacy policy

Introduction

Initially, I generated the text of the privacy policy in one of the available online generators. Then I read it and I saw that it didn't make sense - there were a lot of things in that document that do not apply to this blog at all. So, instead, I decided to write it from scratch, and I tried to describe everything as well as I could. If you think it's not sufficient then please do let me know, my contact details are below. Who am I and what is this website?

My name is Mateusz Cisek. I'm from Poland but I have been living in London since 2020. I am the only person responsible for this website, it is not affiliated nor affected by any company or any other person. To contact me, please use this email address: mateuszcisek@hotmail.com. I will try to answer all messages but can't promise that.

What data does the website collect?

The commenting system that is used on the website (Remark42) uses social media authentication (Google, Microsoft, and/or GitHub). You must explicitly allow each of those accounts to be used by Remark42, otherwise, no data is used. That information is not shared with anyone. You can remove the access using your social media accounts, or block the cookies in your browser to block that from happening. The scripts for comments load on demand so if you don't click that big button under the posts (Click here to show the comments) then you won't even see it. This website is deployed on Netlify, and that platform may collect some analytics data, such as page views, used devices, location, etc. That company is located in San Francisco, United States. Other than that, there are no ads, tracking scripts, or any other tools that collect or use your data for any purpose.
